The Politics of Black Hair
Drawing on photography, sound, and video material from the streets of London to the streets of Windhoek, this exhibition brings to life the intricacies of hair.
It also explores the unique and diverse ways people use their hair. From braids and weaves to dreadlocks, hair is more than just a fashion statement, it is a declaration of our identities and cultures. Hildegard Titus is a Namibian photojournalist and visual artist who focus on gender, representation, and cultural issues. Having exhibited several times in London, this is her first exhibition in Windhoek.
