According to the Oxford dictionary, confidence is a feeling of self-assurance arising from an appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities. Every individual might have a different vision of what confidence entails for them personally. Salkunga has observed this concept amongst females, which reflect into her artwork, as different perceptions of beauty in a world that has standardized and imposed female concepts of beauty, confidence and perfection.
