FNCC presents this exhibition by eight FNCC photography students and their lecturer Djunior Svane in cooperation with H.O.D Nicky Marais, College Of The Arts and Werner Hillebrecht, Namibia History and Heritage Consultant. The Exhibition will comprise of three different sections:

    1. History of photography (pin hole camera, camera obscura).

    2. History of photography in Namibia. (Picture from the archives)

    3. Contemporary photography Djunior and his student.

The exhibition will showcase historical photography: Camera Obscura – Pin hole camera – the first well know pictures on glass Black & White from Le Gras, France (Niepce 1827). Pictures on glass from National Archive 1900 and pictures from Namibia 2015 made on film in darkroom will be exhibited. Digital photography from Namibia 2015, Black and White. Color. Sepia and print on canvas will also be showcased.

The title ‘Stronger than words’ was inspired by a school for the hearing impaired in Gaza. Think before you talk and think before you take a picture!
