Digital Art Exhibition
The exhibition, realized by the Foundation of Museums of Turin in collaboration with the City of Turin, the Piemonte Region and Palazzo Madama, with the sponsorship of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Ministry of Culture, was presented for the first time on the occasion of the Interministerial Committee for Foreign Affairs held in Turin on 19th and 20th May 2022, at the end of the semester of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Europe.
The initiative aims to underline the role of Italy as a cradle of European values. Italy is a founding member of the European Union, as well as the venue of the signature of the Treaties of Rome.
The exhibition consists of sixteen original illustrations created by internationally acclaimed Italian artists, focusing on the founding values of the European Union promoted by the Council of Europe. With an elevate political, ethical and civic significance, the show offers to the world an organic illustration of the set of values underlying the community of European States. It delivers, through the language of arts, a creative and contemporary history of Europe and its principles with an illustration dedicated to each of them, from liberty to democracy, from the rule of law to the protection of the environment.
