Opening on 11 September at both the FNCC Gallery and the Namibian Arts Association Gallery, Echoes of Legacy showcases powerful works by Namibian artists reflecting on heritage, identity, and memory. Through visual art, installation, and creative storytelling, the exhibition invites audiences to explore the dialogue between past and present, tradition and modernity.
Heritage Market & Live Performances
On 19 September, experience a festive Heritage Market bursting with flavor, craft, and culture. Stroll through a variety of stalls featuring traditional food, handmade crafts, and indigenous products, while enjoying live music, dance, and poetry performances that celebrate Namibia’s diverse cultural tapestry. It’s more than a market—it’s a living expression of heritage. The City of Windhoek will also have a Heritage Mile Walk with a number of institutions.
Closing Event: A Cultural Showcase
The celebrations will conclude with a special closing event on 3 October, bringing together artists, performers, and cultural enthusiasts for an evening of reflection, connection, and celebration. Expect soulful performances, community dialogue, and a vibrant atmosphere that honors the richness of Namibian heritage.
