O.U_SLOW is a dynamic Namibian band led by singer and lead guitarist Charl Vries, whose musical journey began at the age of 12. His passion for the guitar and performance quickly developed, and by October 2018, he began posting original music on platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud under the name O.U_SLOW. Initially a solo project, Charl’s music, which blends RnB, Pop, Jazz, and Reggaeton, quickly gained attention.

In 2021, O.U_SLOW expanded into a full live band. Charl teamed up with music producer and bassist David Beukes (lvminvs.), and the band’s lineup grew to include drummer Linus Da Rocha (2022–2023), and later Frederic (2024), alongside rhythm guitarist Nicy Kuhn, pianist/synthesist David Herculano, and rhythm guitarist Max Voges. Together, they crafted a rich live sound that blends their unique contributions into energetic, skillful performances.

Since 2022, O.U_SLOW has performed extensively across Namibia at venues such as Soundgarden, Desert Tavern, CampRock Festival, The National Theatre of Namibia, and FNCC, among others. Their music, often described as Alternative Rock, draws inspiration from guitar legends and a wide range of genres, combining the energy of Hard Rock with the smooth rhythms of Funk. With a growing fan base and an electrifying live presence, O.U_SLOW continues to captivate audiences with their original sound and stage charisma.
