DELF/DALF Exams
The Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) and the Diplôme d’Approfondissement en Langue Française (DALF), DELF/DALF are globally recognised diplomas available for all non-French citizens who wish to prove their French language skills. DELF/DALF are approved and issued by the French Ministry of Education and are recognized worldwide for French as a Foreign Language and are valid for life.
DELF Junior has exactly the same value as the normal DELF as well as the same 4 levels: A1, A2, B1 and B2, the only difference is the topic of the exams. All the exercises, written and oral, are adapted to teenagers’ interests. For example you will not find an oral exercise simulating a job interview, but rather a dialogue between two people concerning a party or an invitation to go out. When you pass, you obtain an internationally recognized diploma that evaluates your skills in French and allows you to enhance your curriculum vitae. Holders of the DELF B2 and DALF diplomas are exempted from language entrance examinations in French universities.
Each diploma corresponds to one of the 6 levels of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:
DELF A1, A2, B1, B2, and DALF C1, C2. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing are tested at all levels. Candidates register for a specific level.
