Newly-appointed French Ambassador visits FNCC

Thursday, 22 June 2017

The newly-appointed Ambassador of France to Namibia, Her Excellency Claire Bodonyi, visited the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre on the 15th of June.

The Ambassador met with the team and insisted on the foremost importance of the binational structure that the FNCC embodies in its role of supporting local artists, promoting French culture, in the broadest sense of the term, as well as strengthening the excellent relations that Namibia and France have shared throughout the years.

She was shown the premises by Mr. Patrick Portes-Gagnol, director of the FNCC, who took her around the building to visit the newly revamped multimedia library equipped with the online program Culturethèque, the versatile gallery that hosts local artists as well as different events and concerts, the cinema, as well as the classrooms, where she met with students who learn the French language at the FNCC, who greeted her with a few words in French.
