Cine-debate on the progress of Human Rights over the last 70 years!

In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the International Declaration of Human Rights, the FNCC is hosting a screening followed by a debate on Thursday 6 December 2018.

The film, L’arbre sans fruit/The Fruitless Tree by Aicha Macky, is a 52-minute documentary about Aicha, a childless woman from Niger, who finds herself ostracised due to her barrenness.

On the debate panel we have Mrs Toni Hancox from the Legal Assistance Centre, Mr Rivelino Reinecke from Rights Not Rescue Trust and Mr. Gay Namibia 2018, Ms Yvonne Dausab, Chairperson of the Law Reform and Development Commission, Ms Elsie Beukes Master of High Court, and moderated by Mr Philippe Talavera from Ombetja Yehinga Organisation (OYO) Trust.

Join us for an evening of reflection on the progression of human rights in Namibia and the African continent.

This event is free and all are welcome.
